Darren McAuliffe Makes Dean's List, Performances at The Winery, Tasting Fundraiser

Here are five things you need to know today, Jan. 25.

 

1. Darren McAuliffe Makes Dean's List at Gettysburg College

Congratulations to Darren McAuliffe, of Yorktown Heights, who has been placed on the Gettysburg College Dean's Commendation List for outstanding academic achievement in the Fall 2011. 

2. Musical Performances at The Winery

Peekskill resident Daisy Jopling will perform tonight at The Winery at St. George in Mohegan Lake. The event has been sold out, but doors open at 6:30 p.m. for advanced reservations and ticket holders.

There is another chance to see a performance at The Winery on Thursday, Jan. 26 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. There will be live music by Unfunded Mandate, and all proceeds will benefit the Lakeland Education Foundation. 

3. Foundation for Excellence Tasting Fundraiser

The Foundation for Excellence tasting fundraiser is tonight at Peter Pratt's Inn from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. 

4. Patch Deal on Fencing in Peekskill

Check out this $50 deal (worth $140) for a beginner’s introduction course at the Peekskill Fencing Club.

5. Driver's Education Orientation

Lakeland's Driver's Education Orientation, which was originally scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 21, will now be held on Jan. 28 at the Lakeland High School cafeteria at 11:30 a.m.
