Woman Strikes Man's Leg with Vehicle; Stolen Clothing From Sears

Woman Strikes Man's Leg with Vehicle
A woman is accused of striking the leg of a male victim with a vehicle she was operating during a domestic dispute in Yorktown, police said.
Anneke L. Vanrenesse, 37 from the Bronx, is charged with second-degree reckless endangerment, a misdemeanor after a Feb. 6 incident. Police received a call at about 5:34 p.m. from a Heritage Court resident reporting a domestic dispute in progress.
Upon arrival police determined the woman had allegedly struck the leg of the victim she was visiting at the home. She fled the scene prior to police arrival but voluntarily appeared at police headquarters the following day.
She was released on her own recognizance and was scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 14.
Driving While Ability Impaired by Alcohol
A 57-year-old Mahopac woman faces charges after she was stopped for making a right turn at a red traffic signal, marked "No Turn on Red," police said.
The defendant was stopped on Feb. 5 at about 10:29 p.m. on Saw Mill River Road. In addition, police said the woman was found to be driving while her ability was impaired by alcohol.
The woman was charged with driving while ability impaired by alcohol and failure to obey a traffic control device, both traffic infractions. She was released to a family member and scheduled to appear in court on March 3.
Two Peekskill Women Steal Clothing From Sears
Two Peekskill women are accused of stealing clothing from Sears, valued at $473.94.
Yolanda Ward, 33, and Chonteyaslah Gaines, 19, were charged on Feb. 1 with petty larceny, a misdemeanor. Following their arrest, the two women were transported to the Yorktown Police Department.
Gaines was released and scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 23. Ward was remanded to the Westchester County Jail in lieu of $1,000 and is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 2.
Man Fails to Appear in Court to Answer DWI, Other Charges
A 22-year-old Cortlandt Manor resident is charged with failure to respond to an appearance ticket, a violation.
Joseph M. Bianchini allegedly failed to appear for an arraignment to answer charged of DWI, aggravated DWI, aggravated unlicensed operation and two traffic infractions.
Police said on Aug. 16, 2011 an arrest warrant was issued for the defendant after he failed to appear in court to answer the above charged. The man voluntarily appeared at police headquarters on Feb. 7 after learning of the warrant.
Bianchini was remanded to the Westchester County Jail in lieu of $5,000 bail. He is due in court on Feb. 14.
Man Breaks Into Ex-Girlfriend's Yorktown Home
A 49-year-old Briarcliff man is accused of breaking into his ex-girlfriend's home in Yorktown, police said.
Tony McFadden has been charged with second-degree burglary, a felony. On Feb. 5 police received a report at about 2:04 a.m. that a past domestic disturbance had occurred at a Hickory Street residence.
Yorktown police officer Mark Rapisarda determined McFadded had allegedly broken into his ex-girlfriend's house, where he harassed her and stole her cell phone. The defendant was arrested at his Briarcliff home and brought to Yorktown, where was arraigned. McFadden was then remanded to the Westchester County Jail in lieu of $7,500 cash bail or $10,000 bond.
He was due back at the Yorktown Town Court on Feb. 7.
Loitering in Park
Seven area residents face charges for allegedly staying in a park after its hours of operation, police said.
On Feb. 6 at about 1:15 a.m. officer Sgroi was investigating a complaint of an erratic driver in the vicinity of Rt. 202 and Lexington Avenue. His search led him to check the area of Sylvan Glen where he allegedly observed the defendants.
Two Peekskill men, 19 and 20, a Cortlandt Manor man and woman, ages 20 and 18, and three Yorktown residents, ages, 20, 18 and 17, were charged with loitering in park, a town code violation.
They were released and scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 23.
Auto Accident Leads to Arrest
A Yorktown man faces an aggravated unlicensed operation charged following a car accident on Feb. 3, police said.
A motorist at the Jefferson Valley Service Station on East Main Street reported to police a property damage auto accident. Allegedly, the driver of one of the vehicles, William J. Gerbe III, 22, was operating his vehicle with a suspended driver's license.
He was arrested at the scene and transported to police headquarters. Gerbe was released on $100 bail and scheduled to appear in court on March 6.
Soliciting for Home Improvement Repairs Without a Permit
Police said they've arrested a man for soliciting Panorama Drive residents for home improvement repairs without a permit. He was charged with peddling without a permit, a town code violation.
On Feb. 6 police received a call about a suspicious male in the area. The 24-year-old Bridgeport, CT resident was arrested and later released on his own recognizance. He is due in court on March 6.
Shouted Obscenities at the Mall
A 39-year-old Mahopac resident faces two counts of disorderly conduct, a violation, after police said she allegedly shouted obscenities while in the mall parking lot on Jan. 27.
The defendant was placed under arrest and released on her own recognizance. She is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 28.
Suspended Registration, License; Uninsured and Uninspected Vehicle
Yorktown Police have arrested 30-year-old Mahopac resident for operating a vehicle with a suspended registration and having a suspended license.
Richard K. Bose, was stopped by police on Feb. 3 when a mobile license plate reader identified his vehicle, traveling on Rt. 6, had a suspended registration. In addition, the defendant is accused of having an uninspected and uninsured motor vehicle.
He was released on $200 bail and scheduled to appear in court on March 6.
